Extreme Budget Traveling

Introduction

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of traveling on a budget. It’s not something that happens very often in my world, but when it does, there’s nothing like seeing the world through the eyes of someone who’s willing to spend their money wisely and save up for their next big trip. I was lucky enough to do just this when I traveled across Europe with my friend Daniel last summer after college graduation—and now that we’ve both returned home from our travels (with many stories to tell), I thought it would be fun for us both share them with you!

You can travel the world on a budget, but you must be willing to endure a lot of hardship.

You will have to be willing to share hostels and hotels with other people, eat street food and drink cheap beer, work out how much money you can spend each day and stick to it. It’s all part of the adventure!

If this sounds like your kind of thing then read on:

You won’t get much from hotels or hostels if you’re not willing to share the space with other people.

One of the best ways to save money on your travels is to share a room with other travelers. Unless you have a lot of money and are willing to spend it, this can be an excellent option.

If you’re looking for more privacy and do not mind paying extra for it, there are some hotels that offer private rooms. These aren’t cheap but they’re much more affordable than renting an entire apartment or house (which would require a landlord).

Hostels are another option; if you don’t mind sharing bathrooms with other people and having no privacy at all in those shared spaces (like communal showers), then hostels may work out well for you!

Some countries are more expensive than others. Here’s some tips for traveling to certain countries on the cheap.

Traveling to some countries is cheaper than others. Some countries are more expensive than others, and there’s no way to know what the cheapest places to visit in the world are until you’ve been there yourself!

Here are some tips for traveling to certain countries on the cheap:

  • Research your destination thoroughly before leaving home. Check out all of their attractions, festivals and tourist attractions, as well as their weather forecast (especially if it rains a lot) and any cultural customs that may affect your trip. Make sure that everything will work with your schedule—and don’t forget about bags! If you’re planning on bringing any extra clothes or souvenirs home with you after visiting these beautiful destinations; make sure they’ll fit into whatever plane seats happen to be available during takeoff and landing

Learn how to bargain with vendors and shopkeepers.

In every country, you’ll find plenty of places where you can bargain. Bargaining with vendors and shopkeepers is a fun way to save money on things like food and accommodations. However, there are several different types of bargaining that may be more effective in some situations than others:

  • When bargaining with locals who speak English (or another language), it’s important to know how much they’re willing to pay for an item before starting negotiations. If they seem hesitant or unwilling to offer what seems fair, don’t be afraid to walk away from them; chances are good that someone else will come along who won’t ask too high a price for what you’ve got in mind!
  • Bargaining strategies vary depending on whether you’re dealing with friends or strangers—and even if one person speaks one language while another speaks another! For example: If someone asks me for directions over Skype (which is how I communicate most often), I’ll probably tell him straight up what he needs: “Follow these streets until they lead directly back here again.” But if someone wants directions from my friend Jules but only speaks French (!), she might respond differently: “Follow this road until it connects back up again.” This way both parties understand each other perfectly well without having anything said out loud.”

Know where the cheapest food and drink is available, then plan your budget around that area.

  • Know where the cheapest food and drink is available, then plan your budget around that area.
  • Find a place to stay near the cheap food.

Example: If you’re staying in a city that has several cheap options for dining out (and drinking), try finding someplace close by where you can grab something to eat on your way back from work or school each day!

Plan meals out at restaurants as opposed to cooking your own food in hostels or hotels.

Eating out is a great way to save money. You don’t have to worry about cooking or cleaning up after yourself, and you can still enjoy the comforts of home when you’re away from your own kitchen.

But if eating out sounds like too much work or expense, there are plenty of ways you can make it work without paying anything extra:

  • Order off-menu items so that they’re cheaper than what’s listed on menus. This will also give you more options for what type of food (if any) you’d like to eat during your trip!
  • Challenge yourself by making a meal from scratch instead of buying ready-made meals at restaurants—it’ll be worth it when all those savings add up over time!

Eat street food if you want to save money!

Eating street food is a great way to save money, especially if you’re traveling on a budget. If you want to eat healthy and authentic food at the same time, then street food will be your best friend!

Street vendors offer up all kinds of dishes that are much cheaper than restaurant options. They may also have healthier options than what you can find at a sit-down restaurant or hotel buffet. You may even get better portion sizes because they serve up their meals in smaller portions (or even just one big order).

Take advantage of free WiFi wherever possible and do it at cafes, restaurants and bars rather than just sitting in hotel lobbies or bars until 3am trying to work on your laptop.

Free WiFi is everywhere, but it’s also not. If you’re traveling with a partner or group of friends, it can be a great way to split the cost of a room so that everyone gets what they want. And if you’re traveling solo and need some alone time while researching your next destination (or just checking out the latest episode of Game of Thrones), there’s no better place than an internet café.

If you know what you’re doing and aren’t afraid of getting dirt under your fingernails, extreme budget traveling is a totally viable option for people who really want to see some of the world’s most beautiful places without spending a lot of money doing so!

If you’re a person who loves the outdoors, loves to travel and explore new places, but also likes to save money on everything from food to lodging, there’s no reason why you can’t go extreme.

If you know what you’re doing and aren’t afraid of getting dirt under your fingernails (or worse), then extreme budget traveling is a totally viable option for people who really want to see some of the world’s most beautiful places without spending too much money doing so!

It doesn’t matter if it’s an expensive hotel room or camping out under the stars—if it makes sense for your budget at that moment in time—then do it!

Conclusion

I hope you found this article helpful in your quest for extreme budget travel. If you’re planning on traveling around the world, these are just some of the things you should keep in mind. Be sure to do research on all aspects of your trip beforehand so that when you get there it will be as smooth sailing as possible!
